David Byrne was born in Winsted,
Connecticut and grew up in Norfolk, Connecticut. He has been living in
Prospect since1990.David is married and has two daughters. |
| Education and Associations: |
He attended Northwestern Regional High
School #7 and studied at Bryant and Stratton College and the University of
Connecticut. He was certified as one of Connecticut’s first Paramedics in
1975 and worked for Medstar Inc.. |

David is an executive with MTS Inc. |
| Public Service |
He is a communicant at St. Anthony’s
Church where he has served as a lector and altar server co-ordinator.
David was Co-chair of the Prospect Playscape Committee which
built the Field of Dreams Playscape at Hotchkiss Field. For this work he
was named as Prospect Citizen of the Year in 1996. He served two terms on
the Prospect Board of Recreation before being appointed to the Region 16
Board of Education to fill a vacancy. David has been re-elected for two
additional terms and has served on the Board for nine years. He is
currently in his second term as Chairperson.
